Domain and Web-Hosting

There are a lot of domain registrar and web hosting provider out there. The first time I went looking for them, the question,  “which one should I choose?” pop up on my head. After reading numerous reviews and suggestions from people, I choose NameCheap.com as my domain registrar and Hostgator.com as my hosting.

Two of the domain registrar top list I found are NameCheap.com and GoDaddy.com. The reason I went with NameCheap.com is that they are selling cheaper domain for .com (which is only $9.98) compared to GoDaddy.com (which is $11.99)

What I don’t know is that GoDaddy.com is having a discount promo on .com domain for only $7.49 if we use the code YUP3 or follow an affiliate link. Well, I guess a couple bucks don’t really matter.

For Web Hosting, I recommend Hostgator.com. It is basically a well known hosting, and also recommended by a lot of Internet Marketers. If you use the coupon SPRING , you will receive a 20% off discount for the hosting plan. But if you use WILLIAMPRAWIRADOTCOM coupon code, you will get a 25% off discount.

Oh and one more thing, hostgator needs to verify its registrar. If you choose hostgator as your hosting, once you buy the hosting plan, they’ll give you a call. Be sure to pick it up. If you miss the call, they’ll send you an email, asking you to send them ID scan or passport scan, and the credit card scan that you use to pay for the plan.

[…] There are a lot of free places to claim your stake online, like blogger.com and wordpress.com, so why buy one if you can get one for free? Investing on a domain and a hosting is a smart way to do IM business, you can never really know when you are going to loose the free things, they can suddenly become paid, or they can suddenly disappear due to lack of income. If you have your own domain and hosting, you can rest assured knowing that they’ll be there as long as you paid for it. You can learn more on domain and hosting here. […]
